What a beautifully honest piece about finding stillness in the chaos of both code and life. 💙 That connection between meditation and debugging really resonates. Sometimes the best solutions come when we stop forcing and just pay attention to what's actually happening.
When I’m stuck, me in 2020: googling until my fingers hurt. 2024: hands off. Pausing.
Seeing what’s there, just collecting thoughts for a while, thoughts being creative, fragments of pictures, or even far-fetched nonsense. Slowly coming back to the scene once I got an idea, a debugging strategy, or even the right fix.
I relate to this evolution. It’s amazing how stepping away can open up space for creativity and fresh ideas. Thank you for putting this into words so well. Daniela!

Thank you so much for your kind words, Tayyiba! It means a lot to hear that the connection between meditation and debugging resonated with you.
I’m grateful you took the time to read and reflect with me. It makes the whole process feel even more meaningful 🫶

Thanks for sharing your take, my friend! Here’s to more moments of clarity, both in the terminal and in life!
One of the best ways I’ve learned to deal with frustration when developing, or my mind feeling scattered?
Simply just to step away. I’m not big on meditation, but I imagine it hits some of the same notes.
Take a step back, be somewhere else for a little bit, come back.
Suddenly the problem doesn’t seem so big.
Thanks for sharing this, Rasmus. It’s a good reminder that clarity often comes when we stop forcing it.
